Aksar 2 - Releases in cinemas on the 17th of November, 2017

Aksar 2 is an upcoming Indian thriller film, directed by Ananth Narayan Mahadevan. The film is a sequel to the 2006 film Aksar. Aksar 2 is about how a husband plans to break up his marriage so that he can be with another woman but his plan backfires with unexpected consequences. According to its director the film is a good old-fashioned suspense drama with black humour in it.

Kadvi Hawa is a film based on climate change. The true stories that are featured in the film are from drought prone Bundelkhand region and the vanishing villages from coastal Odisha and Chambal region of Dholpur, Rajasthan. The film won a Special Mention at the 64th National Film Awards held on April 7 2017.

Padmavati - Releases in cinemas on the 1st of December, 2017.
Padmavati is an epic period drama film. The film is based on the legend of Rani Padmini, a legendary Hindu Rajput queen, mentioned in Padmavat, an Avadhi language epic poem written by Sufi poet Malik Muhammad Jayasi in 1540. According to Padmavat, she was the wife of Ratan Sen (called Rawal Ratan Singh in later legends), the Rajput ruler of Mewar. In 1303, Alauddin Khilji, the Turkish ruler of the Delhi Sultanate, laid siege to the Chittor Fort in Rajputana. Khilji led the invasion motivated by his desire to capture Rani Padmini. Rani Padmini is said to have committed jauhar (self-immolation) along with all the other women of the city to protect their honour. The men of the city stormed out in a final mortal sally to kill as many of the enemy before falling.
Una rguably one of the most awaited film of  2017, Padmavati has been riding over a wave of controversies with right wing fringe groups and a section of the ruling party BJP calling for a ban on its release.

Fukrey Returns - Releases in cinemas on 15th of December, 2017
Fukrey Returns is a sequel to the 2015 film Fukrey which was a runaway hit and turned out to be quite impressive at the box-office.
There’s a wild touch to the boys this time with Choocha (Varun Sharma) getting bitten by a snake and acquiring the power to look into the future. Huge sums of money are bandied about along with witty one-liners even as the boys bicker, snicker, chase and flee their way through.
And there’s of course Bholi Punjaban (Richa Chadda) who is now padded with more power to make lives hell for the boys. But this time it is Hunny (Pulkit Samrat) who makes the plans to outsmart Bholi’s moves.

Tiger Zinda Hai - Releases in cinemas on the 22nd of December, 2017
A spy thriller Tiger Zinda Hai is a sequel to the record breaking blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger. Based on 2014 abduction of Indian nurses by ISIL, Tiger Zinda Hai continues the story of two super spies Tiger (Salman Khan) and Zoya (Katrina Kaif) eight years later.
25 Indian nurses have been taken hostages by a terrorist group. Abu Usman is the leader of that organization. In the mean time, Tiger has been appointed by Shenoy (Girish Karnad) to free the nurses from that terrorist group. Pakistani spy Zoya accompanied him to fulfill the task.
