Recipe - Crispy Onion Rings by Suhel Johar


Ingredients


 1 large onion, cut into 1/4-inch slices  
 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour  
 1 tsp baking powder  
 1 tsp salt  
 1 egg 
 1 cup milk, or as needed  
 Salt to taste  
 Oil for frying

Method:

Mix egg, oil, and milk on low speed of mixer for 1 minute.
Add dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
Separate the onion slices into rings, and set aside. In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Coat onions in flour.
Heat the oil in a wok.
Dip the floured rings into the batter to coat.
The coating should cling very well.
Deep fry the rings a few at a time for 2 to 3 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove to paper towels to drain.
Season with seasoning salt and serve with Mayonaise Garlic Paste Dip.


Mayonaise Garlic Paste Dip


Method:

Whisk mayonnaise, garlic, lemon juice and 1 teaspoon oil (Preferably Olive oil) in small bowl to blend.
Season with salt and pepper.
