SRK - Deepika Padukone To Reunite For Aanand L. Rai's Next

 

SRK To Star With Deepika Padukone For The Fourth Time.

It is rumoured that Shah Rukh khan was approached for Padmavati but for reason SRK had to refuse Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s offer and along with it the chance to see SRK and Deepika Padukone fizzled out. But now we hear that Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, who have previously worked together in films such as 'Happy New Year', 'Chennai Express' and 'Om Shanti Om', which marked Deepika's debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan, are all set to reunite on the big screen again in Aanand L Rai's next yet untitled directorial venture. Deepika already had a look test done for the film and an official announcement regarding her getting on board is expected soon.

Intrestingly, right from Deepika Padukone to Katrina Kaif, everyone has been supposedly considered for this two heroine project. In fact Katrina Kaif was the first heroine who was considered to be cast in the film. The national award winning actress Kangana Ranaut, who has come a long way without starring in a big ticket Khan film, was the next actress in line for consideration for the film. Rumours were running wild that the star might just bag a part opposite SRK. But later according to online reports, director Rai did not want to cast two ‘headstrong personalities’ in his film. So Kangana was out of consideration even before she could sign on the dotted lines for the project.

Now that Deepika Padukone has been signed as one of the parallel female leads the latest development in the story is that Katrina Kaif, who Rai was also in talks with for another equally prominent role, has opted out of the film. Reports suggest that the main and the major reason for Katrina stepping down the stage is Deepika Padukone who she allegedly never got along with. Reports even say that Kat was very keen to do the film as she had liked the script and her role, but the moment she learnt that Rai has cast Deepika for another female role, she decided to opt out. Let's wait and watch if SRK steps in and tries to convince Katrina to do the film. If it happens it will be the second time Katrina pairs up with SRK on the big screen after ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’. If not Pareeniti Chopra could well be in contention for the second heroine’s part in the film.

Shah Rukh Khan plays a dwarf in the film. Something that reminds one of Kamal Haasan in Appu Raja but SRK has reportedly asked not to make any comparison with Appu Raja. Speaking further about the film he said that his look is very different from Kamal Hassan’s in Appu Raja. It seems like Raees this one will have teaser trailers released on social network platforms at the time of its launch. The teasers are based on SRK’s look test that were done for the film. The film starts will go on the floors from March 21 and the initial shooting schedule will last 10-15 days shoot. The untitled film is slated for a December 21 2018 release.

So keen is Aanand L Rai on making his next untitled film with Shah Rukh Khan and on casting two other actresses whose names are yet to be revealed. The director, who had already started shooting for 'Manmarziyan' has put the Ayushmann Khurrana-Bhumi Pednekar starrer on hold till December.
