Recipe - Jhatpat Chicken Stew by Suhel Johar
Ingredients:
- 300 gms Boneless Chicken cubes
- 3 medium sized chopped Onions
- 2 large diced Tomatoes
- 2 teaspoon Ginger Garlic paste
- 1 big Bay leaf
- 10 Black Pepper corns
- 7 Cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 7 big Green Chillies
- 4 teaspoon vegetable Oil
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Water
- 5-6 stems of Coriander leaves
Method:
- Boil the chicken in a pressure cooker along with the onions, tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, green chillies, turmeric powder, cloves, black pepper corn, bay leaf.
- Heat a teaspoon of oil in a pan. Add the cumin seeds to it. As the cumin seeds start to crackle. Add the tadka to the chicken.
- Garnish the stew with Coriander leaves and serve hot with Steamed Rice or Parathas or Naan.
