Recipe - Achari Dum Chicken by Suhel Johar

Achari Dum Chicken

Ingredients:

• Boneless Chicken: 500 gms, cut into small cubes
•Tomatoes: 250 grams
•Onions: 4, sliced finely
•Yogurt: half cup
•Ginger Garlic Paste: 1 tbsp
•Chicken Masala: 50 grams
•For Stuffed Chilies
•Lemon Juice: half cup
•Green Chilies: 10
•Achari Masala: 2 tablespoon


Method:

•Slit the green chilies lengthways and stuff with a paste of lemon juice and 2 tbsp Achari Masala.
•Heat oil and fry the onions.
•Add the chicken cubes, ginger garlic paste, 1 glass of water and cook covered until the meat is tender.
•Mix in the tomatoes, yogurt, the remaining Achari Masala and cook on high heat until the oil separates.
•Pour in 2 glasses of water for the gravy.
•Arrange the stuffed chilies on top of the chicken and simmer until gravy is richly fragrant.

•Serve with fresh tandoori rotis or naans.
