Will An Indecisive Sara Ali Khan Accept Salman Khan’s Film As Her Debut Film? by Suhel Johar

Ever since Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter Sara Ali Khan started making public appearances in 2016 there has been a lot of conjecture about her Bollywood debut film.

For a long time there was a buzz that Sara will debut with Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year 2 opposite Tiger Shroff. There were also reports of Zoya Akhtar casting Sara in her next Gully Boy. Incidentally, Yashraj Films’ Thugs Of Hindostan was one project that Sara was very interested in doing but was rejected by its producer Aditya Chopra after an audition. The Hindi remake of The Fault In Our Stars was another possible launch pad for Sara but nothing actually materialised and the guessing game about Sara’s launch film continues.

The current buzz doing the rounds since last week is that Salman Khan apparently approached Sara for the film with which he is planning to launch his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma. Reportedly, Sara has heard the script, a love story, and is expected to come on-board soon. However, Sara hasn't signed the dotted line yet and it remains to be seen whether she will do so eventually. If everything goes as per plans then the said film with Sara and Aayush is supposed to begin rolling by November this year. There were rumours that Karan Johar will co-produce the film but that’s not true.

Meanwhile, Aayush, who is married to Sallu’s youngest sibling, Arpita, has been gearing up for D-Day, working out alongside actor-friends, Varun Dhawan and Kartik Aaryan, at fitness trainer Prashant Sawant’s studio.

Aayush, who’s from an influential political family from Himachal Pradesh – his grandfather Sukh Ram was a former Union Communications Minister while dad Anil Sharma was appointed Cabinet Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Animal Husbandry in 2014 – married Arpita Khan in 2014 at Hyderabad’s Falaknuma Palace. The couple was blessed with a  son Aahil in March, 2016.

Coming back to Sara Ali Khan it is no secret that she is being choosy about her maiden Bollywood project and did not confirm Dharma Productions' SOTY 2 on her own. Because Sara does not want to make her Bollywood entry with a two-heroine film, and wants to be launched only in a solo-heroine film. So she gave a thumbs down to the project and the correct vehicle for Sara's debut is awaited.

Interestingly, Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh too were not in favour of the idea that Sara makes her debut with a KJO film and they had a good reason to arrive at that decision.

That reason being Saif did not want Sara to follow in Alia’s footsteps. The industry apparently thinks that KJO is too involved in Alia’s career as he still keeps recommending her to biggie directors and mega projects. Saif does not wish for someone to have that kind of effect on Sara’s career. He thinks she should be more independent.

Similarly, Amrita didn’t want Sara to be Karan Johar’s next discovery is because she fears Sara will be lost amidst the many star kids Karan has launched in Bollywood by far including his favourite, Alia Bhatt. Yes! Turns out Amrita wants Sara to stand out and be a star of her own than being an addition to the league of famous star kids who are already ruling the industry.

While Kareena understood Saif’s line of thought, she felt one movie with Karan would do no harm to Sara’s career. She had reportedly also promised Saif that she will make sure KJO does not get too involved in Sara’s career.

Wonder when her Bollywood debut will actually  happen but she has been in news for another reason. If rumours are to be believed, Saif's daughter Sara is dating Veer Pahariya, who has studied with her in Delhi and aspires to be a pop star. But, the more interesting part is that Veer Pahariya is the grandson of former Union minsiter Sushil Kumar Shinde

Off late, the couple has been witnessed hanging out together and posting photos of the same on social media. Looking at the pictures, both make a lovely couple and seem to be quite happy in each other's company.
